Meet Ray
My name is Raymond. I have been a professional and licensed cosmetologist since 1999. I am located in Jersey City, New Jersey. I provide mobile hair styling and cutting services in the New York/New Jersey tri-state area, along with providing additional services across the United States and internationally.
When I was young, I realized that cutting and styling hair was where my true passion lay. I also realized that I have a passion in helping people look their best. I am able to tailor my talents to a client’s needs. I became specialized in the structure of motion and hair styling at the Michael O’Rourke Institute of Courage in 2005.
In 2008, I became an expert in Temptu hair brushing and makeup. I graduated from the Mudd Makeup Academy, specializing in beauty and makeup of film and TV in 2009. My company, Manecuts, was started in 2011 with a goal to help individuals through private appointments and at special events such as weddings, anniversaries, graduations, or just a great night on the town. My services include haircutting/styling, hair extensions, blowouts, and more.
This April 2019, as a milestone and to celebrate my 39th year of life, I decided to launch Hairstylist 101 as a book including this online resource to continually share my knowledge and expertise on the field.
